Course Description
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency has changed life as we know it, including by severely disrupting business on a nationwide scale. Now, as our collective attention turns to the next phase in the pandemic, with relaxing stay-at-home orders and efforts to reopen the economy, employers must assess and evaluate dozens of employment-related issues, including the appropriate application of updated workplace laws and record-keeping requirements.
The purpose of this course is to provide employers, supervisors, and regular employees with the most current and applicable laws and regulations, including:
• The Family Medical Leave Act
• Families First Coronavirus Response Act
• New York State Emergency COVID-19 Paid Sick Leave
• New York City Paid Safe and Sick Leave Law
• New York City Temporary Schedule Change Law
• New York City Fair Workweek Law

Explain the NYC Paid Safe and Sick Leave Law, Temporary Schedule Change Law, Fair Workweek Law

Define the key steps in OSHA recording/reporting COVID-19 cases by the employer
Prerequisites
Students need to be able to verbally communicate with an instructor in the primary language of the training and will need to have access to an internet connection, a computer, or a tablet with access to a web camera, microphone, and download the WebEx app.
Audience
This course is intended for all Employers, Supervisors, and Employees responsible for the handling of employee benefits, payroll, and occupational health & safety programs within an organization.
100% attendance and active participation in all learning activities including practice quiz is required. There is no make-up for this training course. Students who miss time from any individual sessions must reschedule and attend the full training course.
