Course Description
This bundle offers four NYC Department of Buildings-Approved Site Safety Training (SST) courses including 4 hours of general and 4 hours of specialized electives training that can be applied towards the requirements of an the requirements of a SST Card. There are awareness level trainings.

Training Requirement
The New York City Department of Buildings, Local Law 196 of 2017, requires that construction and demolition workers on job sites with a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator, or Site Safety Manager have completed a total of 40 hours of training (workers) or 62 hours of training (supervisor).

CEU Requirements
- 100% attendance for the course
- Active participation in all class exercises (determined by course instructor)
- Completion of required post-quiz assessment
- As applicable, achievement of minimum passing score on required end-of-course examination
- Participation and submittal of end-of-course evaluation form (must provide name on form to receive credit)
Prerequisites
This course bundle is appropriate for individuals who meet the qualifications of a Worker under Local Law 196. For more information on Local Law 196, click here. Students need to be able to verbally communicate with an instructor in the primary language of the training.
Training Requirement
Local Law 196 of 2017 requires certain workers and supervisors to receive safety training at construction sites that are required to designate a Construction Superintendent, Site Safety Coordinator or Site Safety Manager. By September 1, 2020, workers will need a total of 40 hours of training to qualify for a Site Safety Training (SST) card.
Audience
Workers who have completed a 10HR OSHA Construction Health and Safety Program may use this course in place of a 8HR Site Safety Manager Refresher/Chapter 33 course to help fulfill SST requirements before the December 1st, 2019 deadline. Those workers who have already completed both the 10HR OSHA Construction and 8HR SSM/Chap. 33 course may use this course bundle to fulfill the Specialized and General Elective SST requirements before September 1st, 2020’s deadline as well.
Completion Requirements
To successfully complete the training, students must actively participate in all training without assistance, pass all learning checks, and, as applicable, fill in an end-of-course evaluation.
Technical Requirements
You do not need to have the newest computer and world-class internet connection to attend courses online. However, we do recommend a general comfort level with computers and the internet, along with the following minimum specifications to avoid technical issues while participating in your training:
- Computer (desktop/laptop) or mobile device (smartphone/tablet) that is less than 5 years old
- Google Chrome as the browser
- A connection to high-speed Internet
- Speakers or headphones to hear audio
- Virus protection software (updated regularly)
