Course Description
The goal of this training is to increase awareness for workers, especially those in the construction industry, on best workplace practices to protect themselves from coronavirus (COVID-19) and the spread of other infectious diseases. After taking this course, you will be able to explain what COVID-19 and other infectious diseases are, identify their symptoms, summarize how they spread, and define key concepts like social distancing and hierarchy of controls. Through understanding this, you will be better prepared to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases and to inform others on how to do the same.

After taking this course, students will be able to:
- Explain what COVID-19 and other infectious diseases are and how they spread
- Assess risk of workplace exposure to COVID-19
- Define key steps in worker protection and infection control
- Identify methods to prevent and respond to COVID-19 exposure in the workplace
Prerequisites
Students need to be able to verbally communicate with an instructor in the primary language of the training and will need to have access to an internet connection, a computer, or a tablet with access to a web camera, microphone, and download the WebEx app.

This course is voluntary and does not meet any specific regulatory or industry requirements.

Anyone looking to learn more about COVID-19 and how to prevent it from spreading will benefit from taking this course. This course is effective for improving workplace safety through the prevention of disease transmission for industries like construction, manufacturing, agriculture, food service, retail, warehousing, and distribution.
Technical Requirements
It is required that students complete the training on a desktop or laptop computer with Google Chrome as the browser.

Students are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in all learning activities and review quiz to receive an awareness level certificate of completion.
Make-up time is not permitted for this training course. Should students miss any portion of the training, it is the student’s responsibility to contact Gallagher Bassett to arrange to attend another scheduled event.
