Need to renew your Worker or Supervisor SST Card?
Under Local Law 196, designated construction workers are required to complete site safety training from a NYC DOB Approved Course Provider to receive a Site Safety Training (SST) card.
All SST Cards expire 5-years from the date of issuance. To be eligible for renewal, SST cards holders are required to take 8- or 16-hours of refresher training no more than one year before applying for the card renewal . There is no grace period for SST card renewals. If the card expires before the renewal process is complete, the card holder must restart the process and meet the requirements for a new SST card issuance (40-Hours of training for Workers and 60-Hours of training for Supervisors)
In their June 2023 Service Notice, DOB outlines options for SST card holders to compete the required hours of refresher training. Below, please find the courses identified by DOB to satisfy the refresher requirement in conveniently affordable bundles.
