Please be advised that the average processing time for eligible applications* is 10- 14 business days. Please anticipate another 3-5 business days for printing and shipment of the SST card. If you have not heard from us within 14 business days and need an update on your application status, please email us at GBTSNYCinfo@gbtpa.com.

SST Card Processing Fees
New application processing fees are effective as of July 17, 2023.
- New Request (any card type)- $60
- Upgrade Request (any card type)-$60
- Renewal Request (any card type)- $60
- Duplicate Request- $25
Duplicate Requests
If an SST Card previously issued by Gallagher Bassett has been reported lost or stolen, you may request a duplicate card by completing this form.

First Time Requests? Here’s What you need to know!
If you’ve never been issued an SST Card of any kind, you must complete the application (above) and:
- Clear copies of all certifications you want to use towards SST card, including any training course(s) completed with Gallagher Bassett
- Proof of ID and Address..
- A clear, passport-style photo if courses were completed online via the Gallagher Bassett Online LMS – not Virtual Courses on Zoom – or with another provider. The photo must:
- Be in color, in focus, and a close-up of full head and shoulders ONLY.
- Be taken on a light-colored background (white, grey, cream) with nothing in the background (objects or people).
- Contain absolutely no eyeglasses, hats, or head coverings.
- All documents must either be in PDF or JPG format and cannot exceed 10 MB.
- A contact number is required in order to collect processing fees for the SST card.
Upgrade An Existing SST Card
If you have already been issued an SST card of any kind and are looking to upgrade your current card (ex: from worker SST card to supervisor SST card), after completing the required application (above), you will need:
- Clear copies of all new certifications you want to use towards the upgraded SST card, including any training course(s) completed with Gallagher Bassett
- Clear copy of your current SST Card
- Proof of ID and Address.
- A clear, passport-style photo if courses were completed online via the Gallagher Bassett Online LMS – not Virtual Courses on Zoom – or with another provider. The photo must:
- Be in color, in focus, and a close-up of full head and shoulders ONLY.

If you have already been issued an SST card, and it is expiring, after completing the required training and application (above), you will need:
- Clear copies of all new certifications you want to use towards the renewal request including any training course(s) completed with Gallagher Bassett.
- Clear copy of your current SST Card
- Proof of ID and Address.
- A clear, passport-style photo if courses were completed online via the Gallagher Bassett Online LMS – not Virtual Courses on Zoom – or with another provider. The photo must:
- Be in color, in focus, and a close-up of full head and shoulders ONLY.
- Be taken on a light-colored background (white, grey, cream) with nothing in the background (objects or people).
- Contain absolutely no eyeglasses, hats, or head coverings.

In Possession of an Invalid SST Card
As efforts to crack down on SST fraud continues, some safety training providers will lose validation for all site safety training credentials. Workers will have their training connect data no longer be valid for any revoked SST provided training, even if that provider was NOT the card issuer.

Submit Your Request
You may submit your request:
- via email: GBTSNYCinfo@gbtpa.com
- by fax: 718-389-6155, or
- Drop-off/Mail-in to any of our locations.
Application Quick Facts:
- If you’ve completed an online OSHA training prior to March 2018, you will be required to submit a completed Online Training Attestation Form.
- An incomplete application cannot be processed. Three documentation attempts will be made to reach you by phone or email. If you do not respond, your application will not be processed.
- Processing time will take approximately 2 business weeks.
- Card Release Options:
- Pick up, or
- Mail out
- If mailing out, be sure to include full address if mailing out (apt #, suite, company name, or otherwise)
- All training must be verified prior to SST Card Issuance.
- Refund for Card Processing will not be granted if an application is incomplete or all verifications (identity, address, or training authenticity) cannot be made.
*An eligible application is defined as one that contains all required items for a New, Upgrade or Renewal SST card request as outlined here.
