JOB SUMMARY
Full-time or Part-time technical instructor positions available. Position requires a flexible schedule, with night and weekend availability. Preference is given to bi-lingual candidates proficient in both English and Spanish.
TRAINING SKILLS
Responsible for independently conducting technical training classes with a high level of knowledge, skill, and ability, resulting in high trainee satisfaction.
Must have knowledge of OSHA/industrial safety compliance as they relate to the construction and general industry.
Live classroom instruction to include lecture, interactive discussions, and hands-on equipment demonstrations.
Create and maintain training environment with realistic scenarios for classroom instruction.
Ability to be flexible and adjust activities and content to meet participant profiles while ensuring that courses are taught in accordance with accrediting agency guidelines and syllabi requirements.
‪QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three (3) years workplace safety experience, preferably in a construction setting
Previous field experience in construction trades or equivalent education strongly preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of NYC Building Construction Codes and OSHA standards.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
OSHA 500 (preference given to those who already have completed OR currently are able to satisfy requirements to qualify for training).
OSHA 501 preference given to those who already have completed OR currently are able to satisfy requirements to qualify for training).
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA and NYC Dept. of Building standards.
Bachelor’s degree is a plus
