Safety Training Courses

Este paquete ofrece cuatro cursos de capacitación en seguridad del sitio (SST) aprobados por el NYC Department of Buildings, que incluyen 2 horas de capacitación general y 2 horas de capacitación optativa especializada. Esta capacitación puede aplicarse para cumplir con los requisitos de una tarjeta SST o Supervisor SST.

Nuestro paquete de cursos de SST de 10 horas incluye 2 horas de Concientización sobre drogas y alcohol y Prevención de caídas de 8 horas, ahora en español. Este paquete se puede utilizar para completar su Requisito de capacitación de SST (trabajador) de 40 horas.

El costo de este paquete no incluye el costo de solicitar una tarjeta SST.

Every year, millions of American workers report having been victims of workplace violence. The impact of workplace violence can range from psychological issues to physical injury, or even death. Certain industries, including healthcare, service providers and education, are more prone to violence than others.

But make no mistake: Workplace violence can happen anywhere.

During this course we will discuss how employers can protect employees affected by acts of violence and how those employees can protect themselves.

This course works best on a desktop or laptop computer on the Google Chrome browser.

The OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, also known as HazCom, HCS, 29 CFR 1910.1200, is a U.S. regulation that governs the evaluation and communication of hazards associated with chemicals in the workplace. In order to ensure chemical safety in the workplace, information about the identities and hazards of the chemicals must be available and understandable to workers. OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires the development and dissemination of such information:

• Chemical manufacturers and importers are required to evaluate the hazards of the chemicals they produce or import, and prepare labels and safety data sheets to convey the hazard information to their downstream customers;
• All employers with hazardous chemicals in their workplaces must have labels and safety data sheets for their exposed workers, and train them to handle the chemicals appropriately.

This course is designed to provide training and information about Federal OSHA’s Hazard Communication standard to affected employees, their managers, and interested individuals.

Online training courses cannot cover the site-specific information and training required by OSHA. Therefore, employers must supplement this course with training/information on site-specific procedures, chemicals hazards, PPE, and other protective measures as necessary to comply with OSHA regulation
