Course Description
This program’s goal is to raise awareness of asbestos and lead-related risks construction teams might come into contact with. Steps for identifying and addressing asbestos and lead on the job site are included, along with an educational overview of the general risks presented by the two materials.
This course is an elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying for a Site Safety Training Card. This is an awareness-level training only and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.
The course fee does not include the cost of an SST Card.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to…
- Describe the health effects of asbestos and lead in the workplace
- Recognize construction scenarios in which asbestos and lead exposure are most likely
- Avoid asbestos and lead-related hazards
- Apply administrative safety requirements associated with lead and asbestos in the workplace
CEU Requirements
- 100% attendance for the course
- Active participation in all class exercises (determined by course instructor)
- Completion of required post-quiz assessment
- As applicable, achievement of minimum passing score on required end-of-course examination
- Participation and submittal of end-of-course evaluation form (must provide name on form to receive credit)
Technical Requirements
It is required that students complete the training on a desktop or laptop computer with Google Chrome as the browser.
Our Online Safety Training Courses were initially designed to be accessed on desktop computers. While it is not prohibited to use a mobile device, please note that the student experience may be less than optimal.

100% attendance in the course and active participation in all learning activities including a final assessment are required to earn a course completion card.
