Course Description
Course attendees will gain a general understanding of the types of hazmat threats that can occur and become more informed on environmental contamination and infectious disease containment. This course will educate the responsible manager on how to recognize a potential environmental hazard, provide an initial response to the complaints which address occupant concerns without increasing liability, and learn which types of situations should be handled by in-house personnel versus licensed contractors.

Additional Details

CEU Requirements

- Active participation in all class exercises (determined by course instructor)
- Completion of required post-quiz assessment
- As applicable, achievement of minimum passing score on required end-of-course examination
- Participation and submittal of end-of-course evaluation form (must provide name on form to receive credit)

Audience
This course is appropriate for anyone who will benefit from an expanded comprehension of the types of environmental contamination and infectious disease contamination threats often associated with environmental emergency response efforts.
Attendance is encouraged for building owners, property managers and operators, REIT directors, hospital and facility managers, safety and security managers, and others.
Individuals responsible for managing situations involving environmental contaminants or complaints are strongly encouraged to participate.
CEU Requirements
- 100% attendance for the course
- Completion of Continuing Education and Training Registration Form
- Active participation in all class exercises (determined by course instructor)
- Completion of required pre-and post-quiz assessment
- As applicable, the achievement of a minimum passing score on the required end-of-course examination
- Participation and submittal of end-of-course evaluation form (must provide student name on form to receive credit)
100% attendance in the course and active participation in all learning activities, including quizzes and the final exam is required.
Students must achieve a passing score of 70% or higher on the written final exam to receive a certificate of completion.
Students who do not pass the written final exam must pay a $75 fee to retake the exam. Students must retake the final exam no later than three months following the original course date by contacting Gallagher Bassett to schedule and pay the retake fee. If a student fails the final exam a second time, they may elect to schedule and pay to retake the full course.
Make-up time will not be permitted for this training course. Students who miss time from any individual session must reschedule and attend the full training course.
